Company Overview

Virtual Classrooms Institute is an Illinois based 501(c)(3) of a nonprofit education consulting, and training and development institute dedicated to using the 21st century state-of-the-art technology to transit the traditional face-to-face classrooms into virtual classrooms. We serve colleges and universities all over the globe. We have been implementing education-solutions to reach educational institutions and individuals. We plan to continue to give learners or students the opportunities to learn without any distractions or interruptions from their work life, while joggling family responsibilities through the choice of online environment. Students can attend classes anytime, any day, at the comfort of their home, and under their pajamas or night gowns. We operate on the premise that our word is our bond, as our adopted approach is to concentrate on the deliverables of these departments: (1) Assessment and Evaluation, (2) Program Development and Migration, (3) Educator and Student Training, (4) Support Services. The President of Virtual Classrooms Institute, Dr. Sidney Okolo is affiliated to several universities at the doctoral, masters and undergraduate level. He serves as chair for doctoral learners, a mentor for learners in all levels, and a program and course designer for major institutions. He was an on-ground professor for 6 years in addition to his role as a course developer/designer, and now works primarily for online schools. He has been involved in Online Education, Program, and Curriculum/Course Design for six years. He has both academic and field experience in Online Learning Management System, Online Education Management, Adult Education and Training, and Human Resource Development and Management. As a holistic professional -- professor, mentor, consultant, strategist and speaker, Dr. Okolo has dedicated himself in restructuring the way learning ought to be and people should learn.

What we do

Study has shown that students who enter schools to pursue their education drop out in their second or third week of the course due to in adequate preparation of online environment. If they are asked why they dropped out, their response is always: they did not know that it is very difficult. These students get recruited by institutions of higher learning without receiving necessary orientation and training. The end results are their fading away from the online environment and hence waste of money. Virtual Classrooms Institute prepares educators and students by training and developing them, giving them theoretical and hands-on training that are required in order to successfully pursue and complete their academic programs. Educators and students, who have gone through the training have always come back to say how the training program has affected their life and how they wish they have taken it earlier. We develop students into critical thinkers and bring compassion and empathy out of educators. 

Virtual Classrooms Institute works with universities and colleges, who express interest in migration of face-to-face traditional education to online education to design, develop and implement hybrid or online program as the case may be. We have a proven record in making recommendations and implementing education solutions. Studies also show that schools that have instituted online programs are able to compete for students and thrive in recruitment of them. We begin by assessing the need for the program and the necessary requirements involved in attracting, recruiting and retaining potential students. Since most institutions engage in accelerated programs, students cannot afford to waste any time, money or pursue them without adequate training. On the other hand, educators, who have obtained the training have enhanced their skills, supported students and therefore helped in the retention of them.

Accreditation

Virtual Classrooms Institute issues certificates of completion upon completion of training course(s). Virtual Classrooms Institute engages in online programs and curricula design for colleges and universities; and also offers preparatory and educational training to potential and future online educators and students. Virtual Classrooms Institute partners and collaborates with Department of Education and educational institutions to train and develop future online educators and students, and choose appropriate online schools for them based on individual career or professional goals. Educators and students that are currently in online environment but still need to enhance or brush up their skills can choose any desired course(s) that is/are of interest to them or write us if you cannot get into your desired course(s).
